Not part of my course, but was fun.

Here are A, i and t

The next part of the process in turning all these pictures into a one word image. Once I have mastered that step I will upload the image. My Easter Project!

Yandoit

The Old Stone House

Somehow I don't think that sink was from the 19th Century!

'Locarno'

Yandoit is a small Victorian town that was a gold rush town initially with about 5000gold diggers and then after they left it was settled in by Italians and Swiss Italians in about 1820. They built these stone cottages and walls. They grew grapes and were predominately farming families. The population in Yandoit around that time was approximately 230 people. I am composing this for my folio which is due at the end of the semester. I need a photo essay double page with brief article to accompany it. That is why this blog is reader invited only, I don't want anyone else in the class to see my ideas and photos. Would welcome constructive praise and criticism about which photos I should include and which I shouldn't. I have a lot more to load up from our trip to Yandoit yesterday.

"The Big Tree"
'River Red Gum'
The Big Tree is though to be one of the largest examples of the species in Victoria.
It has been recorded as having a height of 30m, a canopy spread of 34m, and a trunk circumference of 9.35m.
Estimates of the age of the tree range between 500 - 1000 years. (Taken from the sign in front of the tree.)
